August 15, 2017 -- ReNEW Schaumburg Elementary School, in partnership with NORDC and the American Red Cross, will pilot a swim program at Joe W. Brown Park during the 2017-18 school year. The goal is to raise awareness and begin pushing all students in New Orleans public schools to learn water safety and skills.

You can make a positive impact by supporting the drive for donations. The program is seeking the following items:

One-piece female swimsuits [sizes 8 - adult large] (majority of sizes needed are youth 10 - adult small)
Male swim trunks (not gym shorts) [sizes 8 - adult large] (majority of sizes needed are youth 10 - adult small
Swim caps
Towels
