September 25, 2017 -- ReNEW Schaumburg Elementary is piloting a swim program with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission during the 2017-2018 school year.
For one lesson, a group of 30 girls from the school got an opportunity to learn from Olympic medalist swimmer, Kim Vandenberg. Vandenberg, an ambassador with Up2Us Sports, traveled to New Orleans to spend some time with the students and share a few of her favorite swimming drills.
