August 28, 2020 — We want to share an important update from NOLA Public Schools regarding the return of students to ReNEW Schools buildings next month. Today, NOLA Public Schools announced that Pre-K through 4th grade students can begin returning to school in-person in mid-September. Middle school students can begin in-person classes in mid-October.
ReNEW Schools closed Monday (8/24) and Tuesday (8/25) due to Hurricane Marco
August 23, 2020 — All ReNEW Schools buildings will be closed and virtual learning will be cancelled Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 due to potential impacts to our area from Tropical Storm Marco. We will continue to monitor activity in the tropics for possible additional closures beyond Tuesday.
SciTech's Coach Kelli featured in story from Up2Us Sports
August 6, 2020 — (via Up2Us Sports) Coach Kelli is all about healing—for the kids they mentor, their community, and themself. Both on and off the basketball court, Kelli integrates their interests in wellness, relationship-building, and social justice in order to build on sports’ potential as a healing modality. Having served as an Up2Us Sports YES Grant coach for the past year, Coach Kelli is preparing to start their second year with ReNEW SciTech Academy in New Orleans.

June 29 — ReNEW Schools has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2020 honor by The Times-Picayune and The New Orleans Advocate. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC.
ReNEW receives Entergy grant for Reading Mastery
June 1, 2020 — ReNEW Schools is excited to partner with Entergy Charitable Foundation to strengthen reading skills for 570 K-2 students. Through a recent $5,000 grant award, ReNEW will purchase Reading Mastery materials that facilitate small group direct instruction in foundational reading.
